Erie, PA- The Erie BayHawks (6-14) were downed by the Long Island Nets (8-15) 90-108 tonight at Erie Insurance Arena after falling to the same team earlier this week.
The BayHawks and Nets traded runs through the first quarter with Erie rattling off a 10-zero run and Long Island with a nine-zero run of their own to trade the lead throughout. The BayHawks allowed a 20-to-three run to close the first half to give the Nets the lead despite the team shooting only 43 percent compared to Erie's 51 percent. Erie would battle back to ten midway through the third quarter but Yogi Ferrell answered with 10 points in the quarter coupled with Egidijus Mockevicius sinking a layup as the horn sounded. Long Island continued to pull away in the fourth by shooting 53 percent from the floor.
Erie was paced by 15 points, five rebounds, and three assists from Anthony Brown. Cliff Alexander and Gabe York each added 14 points with Alexander grabbing nine rebounds, narrowly missing out on a double-double. Branden Dawson posted 13 points and six rebounds off the bench.
Yogi Ferrell had a game-high 20 points on seven-of-15 shooting from the floor to go with seven assists for the Nets. Lazar Hayward added 16 points and eight rebounds on seven-of-13 field goals. Carrick Felix poured in 16 points off the bench.
