BayHawks Acquire Kalin Lucas in New Trade

Erie, PA- The Erie BayHawks have acquired guard Kalin Lucas (6-1, 186) from the Iowa Energy in exchange for the returning player rights to guard Jordan Sibert and the team's 2017 NBA Development League Draft third-round pick.

In 14 games with the Energy this season, Lucas is averaging 16.9 points, 5.1 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.1 steals-per-game. Lucas, a former Michigan State Spartan, began his professional career with Olympiacos (Greek Basket League) and Banvit (Turkey) in the 2011-12 season. He played with the San Antonio Spurs in the 2012 NBA Summer League but was later waived and rejoined Banvit. After being signed and later waived by the Chicago Bulls in the 2013-14 season, he was acquired by the Iowa Energy as an affiliate player. As a member of the Iowa Energy in the 2014-15 season, he appeared in one game for the Memphis Grizzlies. After being waived, he signed with TED Ankara Kolejliler (Turkish Basketball League) where he spent last season, and averaged 15.07 points, 4.73 assists, and 3.0 rebounds.

The previously announced trade between the Energy and BayHawks has been rescinded and the BayHawks retain Lewis Jackson.
