
Lightning Zap Express in Pre-Season Match

(LONDON, Ontario) - Saturday night, in a pre-season game at Budweiser Gardens, the London Lightning defeated the Windsor Express, 97-87.
"All in all, the game was good," said head coach Kyle Julius. "We executed and we won, but at the same time we were able to see what we need to work on. Come Home Opener, we will be ready."
Tied for most points tonight was Winnipeg native Chad Posthumus and rookie Stephen Maxwell, both with 19 points. Posthumus also had 12 rebounds.
"For the most part, this was a good game, but we have a number of things to improve on," said Posthumus. "We are going to keep fighting, keep battling and keep working on defense so we are ready for the start of the season."
Tyshawn Patterson recorded 15 points and Jeremy wise added 11 points and seven rebounds.
The Lightning play their season opener at home on Boxing Day, Saturday, December 26 at 7:00 p.m. against the expansion Niagara River Lions. The upper bowl will be open and is sponsored by the Canadian Tire London Dealers.
