Warriors to Host West Division Rivals in Lone Preseason Game

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. "" The Santa Cruz Warriors will play one home preseason game against the Reno Bighorns in November. On Tuesday, November 7 at 6:30 p.m., the Reno Bighorns will travel to Santa Cruz to tip-off preseason play at Kaiser Permanente Arena.

As part of the Warriors' NBA D-League Cares initiatives, all proceeds from the November 7 preseason game will go towards refurbishing the Twin Lakes Church basketball court of neighboring Aptos, CA. The game will feature Twin Lakes community members and youth during time-outs to raise awareness and rally support behind the refurbishment project.

"The Santa Cruz Warriors are all about creating unique partnerships that will help to build a stronger community," said Santa Cruz Warriors President Jim Weyermann. "Twin Lakes Church needs a new basketball floor for their school and the Warriors can provide a vehicle to raise the funds. We want to keep our children active and they need quality facilities to play. We hope that you will join us for a fun night of family entertainment and participate in building Twin Lakes Church a new court."

Fans interested in purchasing tickets to the preseason game are encouraged to call the Santa Cruz Warriors ticketing staff at (831) 713-4400 or stop in to the front office at 903 Pacific Ave., Suite 101 in downtown Santa Cruz.

To learn more about group fundraising projects and fan experience packages, interested parties can attend the Warriors' "Fan Experience Showcase" at Kaiser Permanente Arena on October 29th at either 12:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. that day. Potential group leaders will have the opportunity to gain top priority for unique fan experience packages such as on-court opportunities, birthday packages and fundraising opportunities.

The Santa Cruz Warriors will open their regular season at home at Kaiser Permanente Arena against the Bakersfield Jam at 7:00 p.m. on November 13.
