Minnesota Lynx News Release

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild have teamed up with the Lynx as they enter Game 1 of the WNBA Finals against the Indiana Fever on Sunday, October 4 (2 p.m. CT tip). In support of the Lynx, the Wild have purchased 500 complimentary tickets for Sunday's Game 1 at Target Center. Beginning Thursday at 8 a.m., the first 250 fans that log on to www.lynxbasketball.com will have the opportunity to obtain the seats; limit two per customer.

In Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, the Lynx downed the Phoenix Mercury, 67-60, on September 24 as Rebekkah Brunson set a new playoff career- and franchise-high with 19 rebounds. Sylvia Fowles finished the night with 12 points and 14 rebounds, making her seventh playoff career double-double and her first with the Lynx. In Game 2 in Phoenix on September 27, Maya Moore lead the Lynx to a 72-71 victory, registering a career- and game-high 40 points, tying Elena Delle Donne with most points scored by one player in the 2015 WNBA Playoffs. Sylvia Fowles pulled down 14 boards in the victory while Moore pulled down eight in the Game 2 win.

Minnesota finished 2-0 against the Fever during the regular season. This year's postseason meeting will be the second time the two clubs have met in the WNBA Finals, also facing off in the 2012 WNBA Finals (Indiana won the series, 3-1).

The Lynx (22-12) finished the regular season with the second-best overall record in the league, securing homecourt advantage throughout the WNBA Finals against Indiana. Minnesota has put together 127 regular season wins since 2011, the second-most-prolific five-year haul in the WNBA history (Los Angeles, 130 games from 2000-04). This season marks the fifth consecutive season the Lynx put together 20+ wins, which is the second longest such stretch in WNBA history (Los Angeles - 6, 1999-2004).

Single-game tickets for the WNBA Finals and playoff strips, which include tickets to all potential postseason home games, are available for purchase by calling the Lynx at 612-673-8400 or by visiting lynxbasketball.com/lynxtix.
