Augusta GreenJackets News Release

AUGUSTA, GA: The Augusta GreenJackets single "A" affiliate of the 2014 World Champion San Francisco Giants are proud to announce that left-handed pitcher Mark Reyes has been added to the 2015 South Atlantic League All-Star Game. The All-Star game will be played on Tuesday, June 23rd in Asheville, North Carolina.

Mark Reyes will be filling the roster slot of Greenville Drive's pitcher Michael Kopech. Kopech has been taken off the Southern Team's All-Star roster due to availability.

Even though Mark Reyes was a late addition onto the roster it does not sell short his credentials for being an All-Star. During his eleven games started this season Reyes has a combined record of two and two and has gone at least five innings in every single one of his starts. With 66 and one-third innings pitched, Reyes has an ERA of just 1.76, 36 strikeouts, and only allowed an impressive seven walks on the season.

Reyes is scheduled to pitch Saturday night, June 20th against the co-division leader Savannah Sand Gnats. The GreenJackets are only two and half games back of first place as they enter the series and are trying to make a late push for the Southern Division Crown before the first half of the season is over on Sunday, June 21st.
