Potomac fell to 3-4 in the first game of a series in 2015 and to 1-7 when the opponent scores first after dropping the series opener with the Salem Red Sox last night at LewisGale Field. The P-Nats are 1-3 on their second road trip of the season and 6-5 on the road this season.

The P-Nats send RHP Nick Pivetta (1-2, 1.35) to the mound, the #10 ranked prospect in the Nationals organization according to Baseball America entering the 2015 season. The Red Sox will counter with LHP Daniel McGrath (1-1, 3.65) in Game Two.

Outfielder Isaac Ballou takes the mantle for longest active hitting streak of the Potomac Nationals with his single last night he has hit safely in six straight games. Over the six game span Ballou has hit a remarkable .478, going 11 for 23 with five runs, three doubles, three RBIs, two walks, 14 total bases, a stolen base and only one strikeout.

Former Clemson Tigers C Spencer Kieboom (5th Round, 2012 MLB Draft by Washington Nationals) had his nine-game hitting streak snapped last evening at LewisGale Field. During the nine-game streak Kieboom batted .345 (10-for-29) with seven runs scored, three doubles, one home run, eight RBIs, and ten walks. He did reach base by way of a walk and extended his on-base streak to 11 games. Over that period (4/16/15 - Current) Kieboom is hitting .294 (10-34) with nine RBIs and 13 walks. Kieboom is coming off a 2-for-7 series in Winston-Salem with two RBIs, a walk, and a double. Kieboom's nine-game hitting streak is the longest among all Potomac batters during the 2015 journey and ties the Carolina League's longest hitting streak.
