January 23, 2015 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Lake County Captains News Release

The Captains will host its 13th annual Hot Stove Dinner on Thursday, January 29 from 6 pm - 8 pm at Classic Park.

The Hot Stove dinner traditionally sells out well in advance, and less than 25 tickets currently remain!

VIP Packages for the event are sold out.

The legendary "Voice of the Indians", Tom Hamilton, will be the keynote speaker. "Hammy" is entering his 26th year with the Tribe and has called 69 post-season games including World Series games in 1995 and 1997. The only Indians broadcaster to spend more time behind the microphone is Herb Score, Tom's former partner, who did it for 34 years.

Fans at the Hot Stove dinner will have the opportunity to meet top Cleveland prospects who are participating in the annual Indians Player Development Department. The players participating will be announced by mid-January.

Hamilton and the players will sign autographs and participate in an interactive question-and-answer session during the program.

Current Indians players who have attended the event in previous years as part of Cleveland's Winter Development Program include 2014 Cy Young Award Winner Corey Kluber, pitchers T.J. House, Danny Salazar and Zach McCallister as well as current position players Carlos Santana, Jason Kipnis, Lonnie Chisenhall and Michael Brantley.

A Chinese auction of Captains, Indians, Browns football and other baseball memorabilia will also be held during the evening, with proceeds benefiting Captains Charities, an official 501(c)3 organization.

Auction items will include a Francisco Lindor autographed Baseball America magazine, a new Rawlings Captains on-field road jersey, a Joe Haden autographed baseball, a Zach McCallister autographed baseball, a Cody Allen autographed photo and a Carlos Baerga autographed baseball.

Regular Hot Stove Event tickets are only $25 for adults and $20 for kids, ages 4-12. Tickets are an additional $10 more on the date of the event.

Tickets for this event are on sale at CaptainsBaseball.com or by calling Christy Buchar at 440.975.8085 x 134.

Don't miss the chance to bring home a piece of Captains History! The team is auctioning game-worn batting practice jerseys from the 2011 through 2014 seasons. The initial group are up on eBay now. Click here to view the jerseys currently available. More jerseys will follow in the coming weeks.
