Fourth Quarter Explosion Leads Sioux Falls over Fort Wayne

Sioux Falls, SD (Dec. 16, 2014) - After scoring only 65 points through the first three quarters, the Sioux Falls Skyforce exploded for 45 points in the fourth quarter to come from behind and defeat the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 110-103.
Fort Wayne (6-7) led 21-18 after a back and forth first quarter in-which Will Frisby scored 8 points for the Mad Ants. The Skyforce (5-6) took a 23-22 lead early in the second quarter on an Andre Dawkin's three-pointer, but the Mad Ants countered with a 7-0 run. Fort Wayne took a 50-45 lead into the half, behind 13 second quarter points from Glen Rice Jr. The Mad Ants outscored the Skyforce 25-20 in the third quarter and took a 75-65 lead into the final quarter. With the score tied at 100 and 1:42 remaining, Andre Dawkins hit consecutive three-pointers to give the Skyforce a 106-100 lead, a lead they would never relinquish.
Fuquan Edwin led the six Skyforce players who scored in double-figures with 20 points, including nine fourth quarter points. Andre Dawkins, on assignment from the Miami HEAT, shot four-for-four from deep in the fourth quarter en route to 18 points on the night. Both Larry Drew II (13 points, 15 assists) and Shawn Jones (16 points, 11 rebounds) recorded double-doubles.
The Mad Ants were led by 22 points from Washington Wizard assignee Glen Rice Jr. Fellow assignee, Russ Smith (New Orleans Pelicans) scored 16 points and dished out 8 assists. Andre Emmett chipped in 13 points and Chris Porter added 8 points and a team high 10 rebounds.
The Skyforce will now hit the road for a two-game road trip during which they will take on the Los Angeles D-Fenders (3-10) on Dec. 18 and the Texas Legends (7-4) on Dec. 20. Fort Wayne will return home and face the Westchester Knicks on Dec. 19.
