Jason Becker Named Head Coach of Okanagan Hockey Academy Varsity Midget Team

Prince George, B.C. - The Prince George Cougars Hockey Club would like to congratulate Jason Becker who was recently named Head Coach of the Okanagan Hockey Academy's Midget Varsity program. Becker had previously served as an assistant coach with the Prince George Cougars since the 2009-2010 season.
Becker (Saskatoon, SK) spent the past five seasons with the Cougars and served alongside Dean Clark (2009-2013) and Mark Holick (2013 - Present). In 2013 he was head coach of Team Pacific at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
"It's a great chance for me to develop as a head coach," said Becker earlier today. "I'm very grateful to have this opportunity, and I'm looking forward to being in charge and running my program and seeing what I can do as a coach down there."
Becker adds, "I'm left with a lot of great memories of Prince George. For our family it's been the longest time that we've spent together in one location. We've met a lot of great people both in and out of the hockey world here, and it will be difficult to leave." Becker will be heading to Penticton with his wife Jaime, daughter Bella and son Braxton.
Prior to joining the Prince George Cougars coaching staff, Becker played professionally for nine seasons in Germany, England and in the ECHL. He also played five seasons as a member of the University of Saskatchewan Huskies and 267 career games in the Western Hockey League with Saskatoon, Kamloops, Red Deer, and Swift Current.
The Prince George Cougars would like to sincerely thank Jason for his five years of service to the organization.
