PORTLAND, OR - The Portland Thunder have agreed to terms with former NFL quarterback Nathan Enderle, the franchise announced today. Enderle was originally selected in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears.

"Nathan has a very strong arm and a sharp football mind. His addition speaks volumes to the level of talent we have acquired this offseason," said Head Coach Matthew Sauk. "Competition breeds success and we now have two stellar quarterbacks on our roster heading into training camp."

Enderle (6-4, 230, Idaho) spent his entire rookie season on the Chicago Bears active roster in 2011 before joining the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012. This past season, he spent time with Tennessee Titans and San Diego Chargers during training camp.

Enderle was a four-year starter at the University of Idaho, where he threw for 10,084 yards and 74 touchdowns. As a senior in 2010, he was named to national watch lists for the Davey O'Brien Award, Manning Award and the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.

The Portland Thunder will kick off its inaugural season at the Moda Center on Monday, March 17th when they take on the San Jose SaberCats. Season tickets are available for purchase starting as low as $99 by calling 503-773-4AFL or by visiting PortlandAFL.com.
