New Mexico Stars News Release

Rio Rancho - The New Mexico Stars will kick off the 2014 season with new owners with Paul Parsons and Samuel Rodriguez. Parsons bought out former Coach/Owner Chris Williams and ownership parties involved after the season ended in 2013.

Parsons is the senior loan officer at Alliance Financial Resources, as well as the senior loan banker at Loan Simple. Originally from Lexington, NE, Parsons moved here in 2002 and fell in love with the culture, and Rodriguez in 2006. "My family lives in Rio Rancho" said Parsons. "My goal is to bring families together in a fun and exciting way, while at the same time making sure the team and players are invested within our communities." Rodriguez, served in the United States Air Force as an air traffic controller, and then continued that profession into the civilian world for 14 years. While in the military he proudly served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. We want to bring the LSFL title to New Mexico, and I am excited to be a part of the Stars organization" Rodriguez told Stars staff writer James Morris. The Stars will be under a new LLC, Texas 3, which consists of Parsons, Sammy Rodriguez, and Ernie Guill from the original 2012 ownership group. Parsons and his wife, Chantal, have four kids between them and both Parsons and Rodriguez reside in Rio Rancho. If you would like to come meet the owners and other Stars staff you can come out to the 8th Annual Sunday Funday on August 18th at the Rio Rancho High School. We will be giving out free stickers and sign up kids for our new kid's club.
