Calgary Stampeders News Release
The Calgary Stampeders complete a home-and-home series with the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday at McMahon Stadium. Kickoff for the Family Day Game, which is presented by Canadian Pacific, is at 5 p.m.
The Stamps are looking to sweep the season series after picking up a 22-14 win over the Alouettes at Montreal's Percival Molson Stadium on Friday.
Kevin Glenn, making his first start of the season for Calgary, completed 22 of 28 passes for 268 yards while Nik Lewis had six catches for 81 yards and one touchdown. Brad Sinopoli, in his CFL regular-season debut as a receiver, had five receptions for 81 yards including a spectacular 42-yard grab that made the highlight shows on both sides of the Canada-U.S. border.
Meanwhile, Rene Paredes was perfect in five field-goal attempts and accounted for a total of 16 points as he earned the CFL award as the special teams player of the week. Paredes has now kicked 33 straight field goals in regular-season and playoff action, the longest such streak in CFL history.
Last week's win improved the Stamps' record to 2-1 as Calgary trails the West Division-leading Roughriders by one game. Montreal, like every team in the East Division, is 1-2.
The Stamps are 4-1 at McMahon Stadium against the Larks since 2008 and have a lifetime 20-12-1 mark at home against Montreal.
