Viktor Svedberg Agrees to AHL Deal with Rockford

Rockford, Ill.- The American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs announced on Thursday that the club has agreed to terms with defenseman Viktor Svedberg on an AHL contract for the 2013-14 season.

Svedberg recently completed his second full professional season with Frolunda HC of the Swedish Elite League. In 51 games in 2012-13, the 6-8 defenseman marked a pair of assists with 24 PIMs.

Overall, Svedberg has played in parts of three seasons with Frolunda and has totaled 115 games with 3g-4a-7pts. Svedberg also played his junior hockey in Frolunda along with in Rogle, playing in 126 career games, notching 15g-40a-55pts with 243 PIMs.

The Gothenburg, Sweden native participated in the Chicago Blackhawks prospect camp in July 2012.
