
Sanctions for Armada and Drakkar

BOUCHERVILLE, Thursday April 25, 2013 - Following the events that occurred during the end of the game between the Baie-Comeau Drakkar and the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada last night, the Director of Player safety of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Raymond Bolduc, announced the following sanctions:
Blainville-Boisbriand
Ryan Tesink, 2 game suspension,
Aaron Hoyles 1 game suspension,
ïÿýtienne Marcoux 1 game suspension,
Guillaume Decelles 1 game suspension,
Yassin Ciss̮̩ 1 game suspension.
Baie-Comeau
J̮̩r̮̩mie Gregoire 1 game suspension,
Bokondji Imama 2 game suspension,
Gabriel Verpaelst 1 game suspension,
Philippe Cadorette 1 game suspension,
Francis Desrosiers 1 game suspension,
Alec Jon Banville 1 game suspension,
Alexandre Ranger 1 game suspension.
Moreover, the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada forward, C̮̩dric Paquette, is fined $1 000 for his inappropriate behaviour at the end of the game.
Each of the organizations is fined $5 000 and the head coaches, Eric Veilleux and Jean-Fran̮̤ois Houle are suspended for the next 2 games.
The Director of Player Safety took this decision after having viewed the video of the incidents, considered the officials report, spoken to the Sea Dogs organization and consulted with his senior advisor, S̮̩bastien Bordeleau.
