Flash fall to the Mustangs

CHICAGO, Illinois - the Rio Grande Valley Flash fell on the road to the Chicago Mustangs by a score 10-9 at Grand Sports Arena on Friday night.

With the loss, the Flash falls to 3-3 on the season while Chicago is now at 5-2.

The Flash took an early 2-0 lead in the first period with goals from Joel Perez and Juan Jalomo. The Mustangs would respond with five unanswered goals to take 5-2 lead.

The Flash would start a four goal rally which started late in the first quarter and give them a 6-5 lead midway thru the second quarter with goals coming from Edgar Flores, Damian Garcia, and Alejandro Morales.

Chicago would score three times to close out the half taking an 8-6 lead that would never be relinquished.

The Flash would score two second half power play goals but it would not be enough as the Mustangs came away with the 10-9 victory.

The Flash will continue their four game road trip to end and start the New Year with their next opponent being Rockford Rampage on Saturday, December 29 at Victory Sports Complex with the kickoff scheduled at 8:05 pm.

The next home game for the Flash will be on Sunday, January 20 when they will host the Dallas Sidekicks at State Farm Arena.
