Rocket Deal for Islander Craig MacLauchlan

December 28, 2012 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL)
P.E.I. Rocket News Release

The PEI Rocket have traded the rights to goaltender, Jeremy Gallant, to the Halifax Mooseheads, in exchange for the rights to forward, Craig MacLaughlan, from Charlottetown, PEI. Gallant, a free agent signing of the Rocket this year, played in 14 games with the Campbellton Tigers of the MHL this season. MacLaughlan was an 8th round pick of the Montreal Juniors in the 2011 QMJHL Entry Draft and a free agent signing with the Mooseheads this summer. He has 5 goals and 7 assists in 30 games with the MHL's Summerside Western Capitals this year. He will be in the Rocket lineup tonight.

A reminder to all PEI Rocket fans that it is Ben Duffy Night tonight. In honour and appreciation of Ben's 4 significant franchise records he now holds, there will be a special pre-game ceremony with a presentation and video highlights of his career to date. Duffy became the franchise all-time leading goal scorer at our last home game, to go along with his franchise assists, points and consecutive games played record he already held. The PEI Rocket organization invite you to show your support for Duffy's record breaking PEI Rocket career to date by attending tonight's game early.
