Search Is Over; Bobby Brown Named New Field Manager

Amarillo, TX - Amarillo Baseball Club Vice President/General Manager Mark Lee announced today that the search is over, he's got his man.

"After many interviews talking with many applicants about the Field Manager job here in Amarillo, I've decided to turn the team over to Bobby Brown".

Bobby come highly recommended from a lot of baseball people I spoke with. The one recommendation that put Bobby at the front of the list was from Doc Edwards. Doc being a former big league player and manager has been able to teach Bobby over the past couple of years. Bobby was the third base coach in San Angelo.

"We have to do some things differently this year as to how players handle playing here in Amarillo" says VP/GM Mark Lee "and I feel Bobby can get that done.

Brown was the field manager for Abilene of the United League in 2012. Brown worked for San Angelo as a third base coach and hitting coach in 2011.

Brown's playing career started in 1997 with the KC Royals in A ball. Brown also spent time in the Northern League with Fargo, Winnipeg and Sioux City from 1999 to 2005.
