Bulls Topple Condors, 4-1, Win Fourth Straight Home Game

SAN FRANCISCO BULLS, Calif. - 72 544x376 Peter Sivak scored two goals to power the San Francisco Bulls (9-12-1-2) to a 4-1 victory over the visiting Bakersfield Condors (6-13-1-2), Wednesday night at the Cow Palace. Daniil Tarasov pitched in with three points and Thomas Heemskerk earned the win in goal, making 19 saves. The win was the Bulls' fourth consecutive at home and puts them in sole possession of fifth place in the Western Conference.

The Bulls jumped out to a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes. Tarasov scored his second goal of the season at 4:47 to give the Bulls the early 1-0 lead. Tarasov was able to beat Greenham on a wrist shot below the face-off circle. The goal was assisted by Justin Bowers and Scott Langdon. The Bulls extended the lead to 2-0 with 2:27 remaining in the period as Sivak scored his seventh goal of the season on the power play. Excellent passing by Marek Viedensky and Tarasov on the power play led to a slam-dunk goal for Sivak.

In the second period, Bakersfield brought the score to 2-1. Zach Cohen scored his fifth goal of the season from former Bulls defenseman Trevor Hendrikx and Levi Nelson with 9:49 remaining in the second period. The Bulls responded instantly. Sivak scored his second goal of the night, 11 seconds later with 9:38 remaining in the second period. Sivak was able to beat Greenham high after the initial shot by Alex Tuckerman came out to a wide-open Sivak to make the score 3-1. The Bulls extended the lead to 4-1 with 3:44 left in the period on Dean Ouellet's 14th goal of the season. Bowers and Tarasov earned the assists.

Heemskerk and Greenham shut the door in the third period, leading to a 4-1 Bulls final.

The Bulls return to action on Friday, December 7 to take on the Colorado Eagles at the Cow Palace for a Teddy Bear Toss, presented by Seton Medical Center. Bring a new stuffed animal to the game to throw onto the ice following the Bulls' first goal. All stuffed animals will be donated to local children in need.
