Washington Stealth Announces Winners in Ticket Photo Contest

October 10, 2012 - National Lacrosse League (NLL) - Washington Stealth News Release

Everett, Wash. - Last month, the Washington Stealth launched the "We Are Washington Lacrosse" campaign with an online vote to elect ten local lacrosse teams to be represented on the 2013 Stealth tickets. Today the Stealth has announced the winners of the vote, which includes lacrosse teams from all over Western Washington.

The winning teams will be represented on the 2013 Stealth tickets by an action shot of a player within their respective organizations. The ten teams to be included on the tickets are: Skagit Valley, Puyallup, Snohomish, Edmonds, Woodinville, Monroe, Everett, Northshore, Sammamish and Magnolia United. Teams will be contacted by the Stealth in the coming days to acquire the artwork.

"We are thrilled with the response from the local lacrosse community in regards to the 'We Are Washington Lacrosse' campaign and the turnout for the online vote," said Stealth Vice President of Sales and Marketing Cory Howerton. "This was just the first of many initiatives that we will be running during the campaign, all designed to bring the lacrosse community together and spread the good word of lacrosse throughout the state."

As part of the contest, one team that received votes was drawn at random to win a lacrosse clinic put on by members of the Washington Stealth. Liberty Youth Lacrosse was the team selected and will get a visit from Stealth players for a clinic at a date to be determined.

The "We Are Washington Lacrosse" campaign is designed to engage the local lacrosse community, create more awareness for Washington lacrosse clubs and generate fundraising opportunities to continue the growth of the game throughout the state.
