
VooDoo DL Marlon Favorite Signs with Washington Redskins

NEW ORLEANS - New Orleans VooDoo defensive lineman Marlon Favorite became the fourth VooDoo player to sign with an NFL team, signing with the Washington Redskins, announced the front office on Thursday evening.
Favorite played in all 18 games for the VooDoo, and finished his rookie season in the AFL with 18.5 total tackles, 5.5 for a loss, 4.0 sacks a fumble, fumble recovery and a safety. The Harvey native was an integral piece of the VooDoo's postseason berth, and in the team's lone playoff game at the Philadelphia Soul finished with 2.0 tackles, a sack and a safety.
Favorite joins former VooDoo teammates Greg Ellingson (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Xavier Brown (Philadelphia Eagles) and Josh Victorian (Pittsburgh Steelers) in the NFL.
Favorite will wear No. 77 and get his first preseason action against the Chicago Bears on Saturday night. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. in Soldier Field.
