LANCASTER, CA - The JetHawks most consistent starter suffered his worst outing of the season on Wednesday night. Bobby Doran (5-4) allowed a season-high six runs and lasted just two innings in an 11-5 loss to the San Jose Giants at The Hangar. A crowd of 4,293 watched as the Giants snapped their 10 game losing streak.

Doran's outing started with a bit of misfortune. Ryan Lollis and Andrew Susac started a first inning rally with two groundball singles. Lollis scored on a Ricky Oropesa line drive single before Adam Duvall doubled off the right field wall to drive in Susac. After a walk to Jarrett Parker, Carter Jurica singled in two runs to put the Giants up 4-0.

In the second inning, Susac reached with two out on another groundball single. Oropesa followed with his fifth home run of the season to put the Giants up 6-0.

Doran was relieved by Brian Streilein after just two innings after throwing 69 pitches.

The JetHawks cut into the Giants lead with three runs in the second. The inning started with five consecutive singles against Giants starter Jack Snodgrass (6-2). Rene Garcia singled home Enrique Hernandez, Ben Orloff drove in Chris Epps with a single and Grant Hogue scored on a passed ball.

Snodgrass tossed seven innings and struck out a career-high seven. He gave up 10 hits and four earned runs.

San Jose would break it open again in the fifth against Streielin. After allowing just one hit in two scoreless innings, the right-hander gave up four to make it 10-6. Duvall scored on a Parker double and after Bobby Haney singled, Alex Burg drove in two with another double. He would later score on a double by Lollis.

Telvin Nash led off the sixth inning with his 16th home run of the season against Snodgrass. Lancaster added a run later in the inning when Epps scored on a Garcia double. That would be all for the JetHawks. Giants pitching retired the final 10 batters of the game.

Oropesa hit his second home run of the game against Kirk Clark in the eighth for the Giants final run. The former USC first baseman went 3-for-5 with three runs and four RBIs. Duvall went 3-for-5 with two runs and a RBI.

Epps, Garcia and Hogue all had multi-hit games for the JetHawks.

The JetHawks (31-29) fell to two games back in the South Division after High Desert beat Lake Elsinore. They will play the Giants (33-27) in the rubber game of the three game series on Thursday night at 7:00 pm at The Hangar. Tyson Perez (3-1, 5.35) will start against Taylor Rogers (2-5, 4.35). Lancaster is 5-1 in rubber games this season.

Thursday night is Cheers Buck Beers presented by Diamond Jim's and Celebrity Night at The Hangar.
