
Spanish Champion Real Madrid to Face Italian Powerhouse AC Milan at Yankee Stadium

NEW YORK / LOS ANGELES (Thursday, May 31, 2012) - La Liga champion Real Madrid and 18-time Serie A champion AC Milan will face-off at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday, August 8 as part of the 2012 Herbalife World Football Challenge. The event, which takes place July 18 through August 11 across North America, features 11 teams from around the world, including Real Madrid, AC Milan, Chelsea FC, Juventus FC, Liverpool FC, Celtic FC, and Paris Saint-Germain, along with MLS sides LA Galaxy, D.C. United, Seattle Sounders FC, and Toronto FC.
Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE: HLF) continues its support of the World Football Challenge for the second consecutive year by serving as title sponsor and official nutrition company of the event. The global nutrition company will activate around the robust sports marketing platform with promotional opportunities in and around participating venues across North America. As the "Official Nutrition Company" of the event, Herbalife will also provide teams its latest line of comprehensive performance nutrition products that help power athletes on and off the field.
Tickets for the match go on sale Thursday, June 7 in a bundle package with tickets to the previously announced Chelsea FC vs. Paris Saint-Germain match scheduled for Sunday, July 22 at 7:00 p.m. ET. Remaining individual game tickets for Real Madrid vs. A.C. Milan, if available, will go on sale at a date to be determined. Real Madrid, one of the most decorated teams in soccer, clinched the La Liga title in early May, the latest accolade in the club's storied history, which includes a record nine UEFA Champions League trophies. In 2000, the team was voted the most successful club of the 20th century by FIFA, the international governing body of soccer. Real Madrid will also visit the LA Galaxy (August 2 in Carson) and face Juventus FC (August 5 in Las Vegas) as part of the Herbalife World Football Challenge.
AC Milan is also one of the most successful soccer clubs in the sport having won 18 officially recognized UEFA and FIFA titles, including the Intercontinental Cup three times and the FIFA Club World Cup. Milan won the Champions League on seven occasions, second only to Real Madrid. Milan will also face Chelsea FC on July 28 in Miami in the Herbalife World Football Challenge.
