Mississippi Surge News Release
The Mississippi Surge now has a high profile teammate in the effort to secure 700 paid season ticket deposits by Friday, May 15.
The Hard Rock Cafe has joined the Surge effort by contributing $50 gift certificates to the next 30 people who make their deposit ($75 per ticket) on a Surge season ticket.
"This is our big push right now," head coach Jeff Bes said. "This is a great thing the Hard Rock Cafe is doing in the effort to keep the Surge here."
The $50 gift certificate can be redeemed for food at the Hard Rock Cafe. It cannot be used for alcohol or merchandise.
Bes, the Southern Professional Hockey League Coach of the Year, noted the Hard Rock Cafe's assistance will help keep the ice in place for community events such as youth hockey, public skating, recreational hockey and adult hockey.
"Working towards the common goal just makes sense" says Bill Teele, General Manager at the Hard Rock Café Biloxi. "We're in it to win it and keep hockey alive on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!" said Teele.
The Surge is working toward a goal of 700 paid season ticket deposits by May 11. At the close of business on May 8, the Surge had deposits on 637.5 and half season tickets (the team offers half season ticket plans).
Season tickets for the 2012-13 Surge season are available by calling the Surge at 228-287-PUCK (7825). More information is also available at www.mssurge.com.
