Memphis Grizzlies Recall Josh Selby from Bighorns

RENO, NEV.- The Memphis Grizzlies have recalled rookie guard Josh Selby from the Reno Bighorns, the team's NBA D-League affiliate, it was announced today. Selby has played six games over two assignments with the Bighorns this season, averaging 22.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 32.2 minutes per game. During his recent two-game assignment with the Bighorns, he averaged 25 points, seven rebounds and five assists, including posting a triple-double with 32 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists on March 30 against the Idaho Stampede.

Drafted in the second round (49th overall) of the 2011 NBA Draft out of Kansas, Selby has played in 18 games with the Grizzlies this season, averaging 2.9 points, 1.4 assists, 0.7 rebounds and 0.4 steals in 10.3 minutes per game. His time in the NBA was highlighted on December 30 against the Houston Rockets when he had nine points and seven assists in 26 minutes.

The Bighorns play their final home game at the Reno Events Center on Sunday, April 1 at 3 p.m. The game marks Fan Appreciation Day, where every fan in attendance will receive a Reno Bighorns Fan Appreciation Day t-shirt.
