
Reno Bighorns to Attend Assembly at Echo Loder Elementary

RENO, NEV.- The Reno Bighorns will participate in Echo Loder Elementary School's assembly this Thursday, March 15 at 9:30 a.m. Bighorns players, coaches and front office staff will be on hand to energize and motivate students. They will discuss education, eating healthy, staying active and the Dribble to Stop Diabetes campaign.
Dribble to Stop Diabetes is a national campaign developed by the National Basketball Association (NBA), the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and the NBA Development League, in collaboration with the American Diabetes Association and Sanofi US to encourage basketball fans to live an active, healthy lifestyle and raise awareness about diabetes prevention, management and the potentially serious health complications that can be associated with the disease.
To show support for the campaign, the Bighorns will host a Dribble to Stop Diabetes Night at the Bighorns game on March 30 when the Bighorns take on the Idaho Stampede, NBA D-League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets, Portland Trailblazers and Utah Jazz. Fans can learn about the importance of healthy, active lifestyles, as well as diabetes awareness, prevention and management through the Dribble to Stop Diabetes campaign.
