Frisco, TX MAR. 12, 2012 - After struggling from the field against Austin last night, Alando Tucker bounced back strong leading the Texas Legends to their eighth straight victory as they defeated the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, 107-100.

Tucker was sharp for Texas, pouring in 22 points on seven of 16 shooting. Dan Gadzuric once again fouled out, tonight providing six points, eight rebounds, and one block in less than 12 minutes of action.

Dominique Johnson was sensational off the bench for Texas collecting a game high 23 points while hitting three of five from long range. The Legends were hot from the outside as the team made six from deep for 40.0% for the game.

The Vipers relied on a balanced scoring attack as six players registered double-digit points, but it was Damian Saunders who led the way with 21 points. Texas takes the season series against Rio Grande Valley, 4-2, and inch closer to the eight seed in the playoffs.

Texas (21-18) has one day to rest before a back to back with the Idaho Stampede (16-24), on Wednesday in Idaho Center Arena, as the Legends complete a tough stretch of four games in five days.
