
Training Camp Kicks off February 18

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Storm open training camp Saturday, February 18 at Skyway Park (3901 George Road, Tampa) in preparation for the 2012 Arena Football League season, announced the team.
Players report on Friday, February 17 for physicals and meetings, with the first practice starting at 9:00 AM the following morning at Skyway Park. The first three days will be non-contact with Tuesday, February 21 the first day players will wear pads. Each day will consist of two practice sessions on the field, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
The training camp roster consists of 35 players who will compete for 24 spots on the opening roster. Final rosters are must be turned into the League office by 5:00 PM EST on Friday, March 2.
All but two days of training camp will take place at Skyway Park. On Wednesday, February 22, the team will head over to Orlando and spend the day practicing with the Predators at the Citrus Bowl, and then on Monday, February 27, the Storm will host the Predators for a live-scrimmage at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.
The scrimmage, "ËCountdown to Kickoff,' is free and will also have events for fans, food and drink specials and prize giveaways. Season Ticket Members will be able to pick up their STM card and STM Jersey, if applicable. Doors for "ËCountdown to Kickoff' will open at 6:30 PM.
