Erie, Pennsylvania, Wednesday, January 25 - The Erie BayHawks have acquired veteran NBA guard Keith McLeod from the Canton Charge in a three team deal. The deal includes BayHawks forward Devin Green being sent to the Idaho Stampede and Idaho will send their second round draft pick in the 2012 NBA Development League draft to the Canton Charge.
McLeod, a 6-2 point guard from Bowling Green State University is averaging 14.2 points and 4.4 assists per game for the Charge. The 32 year old has seen action with four NBA teams (Minnesota, Utah, Golden State and Indiana) over the course of his career. He also participated in training camp with the Utah Jazz this past season.
In a separate deal, the BayHawks sent guard Loren Stokes to Canton in exchange for their fourth round pick in the 2012 NBA D-League draft. This gives the BayHawks a full slate of draft selections as they had previously sent a fourth round pick to Fort Wayne for forward Marvin Phillips, Jr.
