
Skyforce Acquires Anderson

Sioux Falls, S.D. (Jan. 17, 2012) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has acquired guard Darion "Jake" Anderson from the available player pool. To make room for him on the roster the team waived guard Dontell Jefferson. He is expected to be in uniform for tonight's home game against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at 7 p.m. CT. The active roster now stands at 10 players.
Anderson averaged 10.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 13 games with the Iowa Energy this season. He was originally selected by the Dakota Wizards in the fourth round (52nd overall) of the 2011 NBA Development League Draft before being traded to Iowa. The 6-2, 200-pound guard averaged 12.8 points and 7.2 rebounds in 32 games at Iowa State University last season. He averaged 13.2 points and 5.5 rebounds in three seasons (87 games) at Northern Illinois University before transferring to Iowa State for his senior season.
