Syracuse University Women's Ice Hockey Team to Generate Proceeds for 'Skate for the Cure'

Syracuse, NY (December 29, 2011) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Syracuse University Women's Ice Hockey Team will be helping to generate proceeds for 'Skate for the Cure' at the club's Friday, December 30 game vs. Binghamton.

'Skate for the Cure' is a fundraiser that all members of the CHA (College Hockey America) take part in to generate awareness and proceeds to help fund a cure for breast cancer. The team will be selling pink breast cancer awareness ribbons and raffle tickets for a chance to win either a hockey stick or SU hockey jersey. The team will also provide face painting for Crunch fans. Proceeds from all the CHA teams will be distributed in conjunction with the 2012 CHA Tournament later this season.

The Crunch close out 2011 with a home and home series against the Binghamton Senators. The Crunch host the senators on December 30 at the War Memorial Arena before traveling to Binghamton on December 31. Season or single game tickets can be purchased either in person at the Crunch Office located at 800 South State Street in Syracuse, or by calling the office at 315-473-4444.
