Gatineau Olympiques News Release
Gatineau, December 1st, 2011 - The Gatineau Olympiques participated this season at the initiative of Movember to raise funds and increase public awareness on issues of human health, particularly prostate cancer. To support the cause, players and coaches from the Olympiques have grown a mustache throughout the month of November.
The organization of the Olympiques is proud to announce today that they raised $1 015 towards the research for Prostate Cancer. Off the total, $500 will be given locally, in the Outaouais to the CSSS of Gatineau Foundation for the cancer center. Please note that this $ 500 was raised by the players and coaches of the team. The second part of the amount corresponds to the donations collected on the site movember.com. These donations will be directed to programs operated directly by Movember and their partner in men health, Prostate Cancer Canada of Canada.
The Olympiques would like to thank everyone that donated generously for the cause.
