Trenton Steel News Release

TRENTON, N.J. - The Trenton Steel, having just concluded a successful 8-5 inaugural season in the Southern Indoor Football League, will have a major presence at the Be At Your Best Football Camp at Rider University Thursday.

The camp is a one-day instructional program which will test high-school players' speed, agility and quickness and record their scores. Younger players will be instructed in proper techniques in those areas.

Steel head coach Rod Miller and assistant coach Rod Stanavitch, along with Gladel Brutus, Matt Leotti, Brandon Clarke and Antoine Rivera will be instructors, joining various collegiate coaches. Brutus led the Steel in interceptions with eight, while Leotti played well at both wide receiver and on defense.

Clarke performed both in the secondary and at running back, while Rivera was part of the Steel's formidable receiving corps and returned kickoffs.

Offensive skills will be taught in the morning - the camp begins at 8 a.m. - while defensive skills - during which Miller will make his appearance - will be the focus in the afternoon.

The cost of the camp is $39 for players in the included ages 7-18. Lunch is included in the camp fee. Walk-ups are welcome Thursday morning. Just register and check in before 8 a.m.

All proceeds from the camp will be donated to the Kimmel Center at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
