Iowa Energy & Tulsa 66ers To Tip Off Semifinal On Friday

NEW YORK, April 13, 2011 - The top-seeded Iowa Energy and the fourth-seeded Tulsa 66ers will meet in the semifinals of the NBA Development League Playoffs, with Game 1 set for 8 p.m. ET Friday, April 15, in Tulsa. Game 2 of the best-of-three series is scheduled for 8 p.m. Monday, April 18, at Iowa. Game 3, if necessary, will be at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday, April 19, at Iowa.

The Energy, which finished with the NBA D-League's best regular-season record (37-13), used a 112-107 victory over the seventh-seeded Utah Flash on Tuesday to take the first-round series, two games to one. Tulsa, which went 33-17 in the regular season, swept the eighth-seeded Texas Legends in two games.

The winners of the other two first-round series, No. 2 seed Reno vs. No. 5 seed Erie and No. 3 seed Rio Grande Valley vs. No. 6 seed Bakersfield, will compete in the other semifinal. Both series are tied 1-1. The dates and times of that series will be released when that information becomes available. In each semifinal, the lower-seeded team hosts Game 1, while the higher-seeded team hosts Game 2 and Game 3, if necessary. Most games can be viewed live, online, for free via NBA Futurecast at nba.com/dleague, while the NBA D-League Finals will be nationally televised on VERSUS.
