
Strikers Round out Backline

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (ARPIL 1, 2010) - The Fort Lauderdale Strikers announced today that they have signed defender Tony Stahl, as well as Scott Gordon to team deals. Per team policy, details of the contract were not disclosed.
"We're excited to add Toni and Scott the team," states Strikers Head Coach Daryl Shore. "With their presence in the backfield, there is no doubt that their skill will bolster our team."
Stahl, 25, is originally from Tuusula, Finland where he played with several teams- including FC Espoo, as well as HJK Helsinki youth teams. After being named 2009 Big East Midfielder of the Year at the University of Connecticut, Stahl was drafted in the 2nd round (17th overall) by the Philadelphia Union in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft.
Scott Gordon played his college soccer at Lynn University in his hometown of Boca Raton, Florida where he started in 28 games, capturing five goals, four assists, and 14 points. Gordon was drafted by FC Dallas in the 2011 Major League Soccer Superdraft as the 53rd overall pick. He was the only NCAA Division II student-athlete drafted.
