
Skyforce Acquires Green, Trades to Reno for Ewing, Jr.

Sioux Falls, S.D. (Jan. 25, 2011) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has acquired guard/forward Danny Green from the available player pool and traded him to the Reno Bighorns in exchange for forward Patrick Ewing, Jr. The active roster now stands at 10 players.
Ewing, Jr. averaged 16.3 points and 8.7 rebounds in 56 games (34 starts) with Reno over parts of two seasons. The son of NBA Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing participated in training camp with the New York Knicks in the fall of 2008 and 2010. Originally selected by the Sacramento Kings in the second round (43rd overall) of the 2008 NBA Draft, he was traded to the Houston Rockets before landing with the Knicks in a separate trade later that summer. The 6-8, 235-pound forward received the inaugural BIG EAST Sixth Man of the Year award following his senior season at Georgetown.
The Skyforce's next game is on Saturday, Jan. 29 on the road against the rival Dakota Wizards. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Bismarck Civic Center.
