Rio Grande Valley Vipers News Release
MCALLEN, TEXAS - The defending NBA Development League champion Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced Thursday that they are donating 400 tickets to their game against the New Mexico Thunderbirds on December 8 at State Farm Arena to the Make a Wish Foundation.
The tickets will be distributed at the Make a Wish Foundation Christmas Party on Tuesday, at First Methodist Church in McAllen with the assistance of the Vipers' mascot, Fang, presented by Kidiatric Therapy Services.
"We are very strong believers in the mission of the Make a Wish Foundation and we are always happy to help make dreams come true. That's Vipers basketball," Vipers President Bert Garcia said.
This is the second time this autumn that the Vipers have donated to the Make a Wish Foundation. The Vipers donated tickets to the Houston Rockets game against the Orlando Magic on October 5 at State Farm Arena to twin sisters Alexa and Vanessa Lara, one of whom has cancer.
