Stampede to Play Pre-Season Games in Brookings and Luverne

Sioux Falls, SD-The Sioux Falls Stampede announced today they will be returning to Brookings, SD and Luverne, MN for exhibition games. The Herd will play in Brookings on Friday, September 17th and in Luverne on Saturday, September 18th. It marks the second straight season the Herd have played a pre-season game in Brookings and the fourth time the Stampede will play in Luverne. The Stampede will conclude pre-season play at the USHL Fall Classic in Sioux City, September 22nd-25th.

The Stampede will kick off their exhibition schedule in Brookings on September 17th when they face I-29 rival Sioux City at 7:05 PM. The game will take place at the Larson Ice Center. The following night the Herd will travel to the Blue Mound Ice Arena in Luverne to face the Des Moines Buccaneers at 7:05 PM.

Both games will be fundraisers for the Brookings and Luverne youth hockey associations. Ticket information will be made available in the coming weeks. Fans interested in attending the USHL Fall Classic can get more details by visiting: www.ushlfallclassic.com

Stampede players report at the end of this month for training camp and open the regular season in Sioux City on October 2nd. The Herd's home opener is set for Friday, October 15th at 7:05 PM against the U.S. Under-18 Development Team. Season tickets are now available along with the all new "E-Z Game Tickets."
