Pheasants Welcome State Amateur Tournament to Sioux Falls Stadium

Sioux Falls, SD-The Sioux Falls Fighting Pheasants organization is pleased to welcome the South Dakota State Amateur Baseball Tournament to Sioux Falls Stadium August 4-15. The tournament kicks off this Wednesday, August 4th with the Old Timers game. Batting practice will begin at noon with the game itself starting at 1:30 PM. Batting practice and the game is free and open to the public.

The tournament will consist of 6 "A" teams and 32 "B" teams. The "B" tournament begins on Wednesday with two games slated for 6 PM and 8 PM. The tournament will continue over the weekend with four games each day through Sunday. The second round will begin on Monday, August 9th and continue through Sunday, August 15th with the championship game at 2 PM. The final six games of the "A" tournament will take place at Sioux Falls Stadium starting at 2:30 PM on Thursday, August 12th and run through Sunday, August 15th with the championship game taking place at noon. The tournament field will be announced this Monday, August 2nd.

Tickets for the tournament games are sold in sessions (afternoon & evening) and are $7 for adults and $4 for children 12-and-under, kids 5-and-under are free. Tickets can be purchased at the stadium the day or night of the game.
