Anderson Joins Bobcats and Nuggets for NBA Summer League

MCALLEN, TEXAS - The NBA Development League Champion Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today that guard Antonio Anderson (6-6, 215, Memphis) will play for the Charlotte Bobcats during the AirTran Airways Pro Summer League on the Orlando Magic practice court at the RDV Sportsplex in Orlando beginning on Monday and for the Denver Nuggets during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas beginning on July 9 against the Dallas Mavericks at the Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.

The Vipers' first round pick of the 2010 NBADL Draft, Anderson averaged 16.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game for the Vipers this season while earning a GATORADE Call-Up and two 10-day contracts with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He scored two points in 15 minutes of one game for the Thunder. Anderson averaged 17.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game during the NBADL playoffs. His final assist was a pass to Craig Winder who hit the Championship-winning three-pointer at the buzzer of Game 2 of the NBADL Finals.

Anderson was with the Bobcats during NBA Training Camp last year, where he scored two points with three rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes over the course of two games.
