Rattlers WR JJ McElvey Garners League Honor

MESA, Ariz. - WR JJ MCKELVEY has been named the Arena Football League's Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Milwaukee Iron last Saturday night.
McKelvey (6-4, 225, Clemson) showed he was a true veteran in the AFL when he led the Rattlers to a win over top-ranked Milwaukee. With his season high 14 receptions for 186 yards and five touchdowns, McKevley caught more than half of the touchdown passes thrown by QB NICK DAVILA. Three of his touchdowns were in the fourth quarter, keeping the Rattlers alive and sending the game into overtime. Arizona ultimately won the match with a dramatic two-point conversion.
McKelvey and the rest of the Arizona Rattlers face off against the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz this Friday, June 11. Kickoff is slated for 7:30pm at USAirways Center.
