Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Looking for a fun way for the kids to pass the time and work on their hockey skills this summer? The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs will be hosting a weeklong youth roller hockey camp later this month at the House of Wheels in Bossier City.

The clinic for kids ages 4-16 will feature five days of fun activities and hockey instruction from June 21-25, with an orientation kicking off the camp on Sunday, June 20. Kids between the ages of 13 and 16 can also apply to be a part of the Leader in Training (L.I.T.) program, which allows them to assist with the instruction of younger campers while still participating with their own age group.

Cost is only $225.00 per child for an entire week's worth of fun, hockey instruction and lunch, which is provided for the campers. Daily sessions will begin at 8:30 am each day and go until 4:30 pm, with early drop-off and late pickup options available.

Serving as instructors will be numerous current Mudbugs players such as team Captain Brett Smith, second-leading goal scorer Jeff Kyrzakos, and standout defenseman Simon Mangos. Longtime Mudbugs greats Ken Carroll and Jason "Soupy" Campbell will also return once again as coaches for the camp. Kids will be organized into different age groups and have the opportunity to learn a wide variety of hockey skills from professional players.

Early registration is available now and encouraged. Check-in and last minute camp registration will be available at orientation on Sunday, June 20 at 1:30 pm at the House of Wheels (1902 Alfred Lane, Bossier City, 71112).
