During the 2009/10 season, these two teams faced-off twice.

The Wildcats won both games, scoring 11 goals and allowing only four.

- MONCTON -

- For the second straight season, the Wildcats are showing the best defensive statistics, having allowed only 164 goals to their QMJHL opponents.

- Best power play during the QMJHL regular season (27%).

- When playing shorthanded, the Wildcats not only defend themselves properly (83%), but they succeeded in scoring 16 shorthanded goals (one or more) players during the regular season.

- From January 1st until the end of the regular season, the Wildcats won 25 of their 30 games. Including the playoffs, they have lost only seven of their last 40 games, playoffs included, for a win percentage of .825 since the beginning of 2010.

- A key element of the Wildcats' successes is Goaltender Nicola Riopel. In these 2010 playoffs, his efficiency rates at 0.934.

- Defenseman David Savard was elected the best defenseman of the 2009/10 season after becoming the first-ever defenseman in the League history to dominate all players ion the League for the number of assists during a regular season (64 for the 2009/10 season).

- The Wildcats show discipline. The players under Head Coach Danny Flynn maintained an average of 9.2 penalty minutes during the 2010 playoffs.

- DRUMMONDVILLE -

- They allowed only 185 goals during the regular season, the second lowest total behind Moncton at 164. Thus, the best two defensive teams are facing each other in this series.

- On April 6th in Rimouski, the Voltigeurs saw their incredible sequence of 22 consecutive wins end (16 in regular season and 6 during the series).

- The Voltigeurs won their last 17 home games. Their last loss at the Marcel-Dionne Centre dates back to January 23rd, 2010 against ... Moncton!

- Besides being excellent on the penalty kill (91% during the series), the Voltigeurs have already scored four shorthanded goals during the current playoffs.

- Gabriel Dumont leads all playoff scorers with ten goals after registering a league-high 51 markers during the regular season.

- On April 9th against Rimouski during a quarter-final game, Marc-Antoine Desnoyers became the first defenseman in team history to score three goals in a playoff game.

- Christopher DiDomenico ranks 17th in League history with 53 assists during the QMJHL playoffs. His next assist will tie him with André Savard, Brad Marchand and Claude Giroux (54). The all-time leaders are Jacques Jr. Locas (92), Claude Verret (65) and Brad Richards (60). «Dido» already has five goals and eleven assists in the playoffs.
