
Brown, Holl, And Green Earn Weekly USHL Honors

Chicago, IL - The United States Hockey League today announced the weekly award winners for the 25th week of the 2009-10 USHL regular season.
Congratulations to forward J.T. Brown of the Waterloo Black Hawks, named Reebok Offensive Player of the Week; defenseman Justin Holl of the Omaha Lancers, selected as CCM Defensive Player of the Week; and Matt Green of the Lincoln Stars who earned honors as the USHL Goaltender of the Week.
Brown scored six points (5g, 1a) and registered a plus-four rating as the Black Hawks split a pair of games over the weekend. On Friday, the native of Burnsville, Minnesota equaled a League season high when he scored four goals in the 8-6 win over Des Moines. His fourth goal was the game-winner and he also dished out an assist for a five-point night. The 19-year-old then tallied the lone goal for Waterloo in Saturday's 6-1 loss to Cedar Rapids. Brown is currently third in USHL scoring with 72 points (32g, 40a) and ranks second with a plus-34 rating. Over two USHL seasons, he has collected 108 points (46g, 62a) in 91 total games.
Holl registered four points (4a) and a plus-four rating as the Lancers picked up five of a possible six points in three games during the week. He posted a game high plus-two rating in the 5-4 shootout loss to Fargo on Wednesday. The 18-year-old dished out two assists in Friday's 6-1 win vs. Youngstown. It was his first two career points in the USHL. The defenseman added two more assists, including one on the game-winning goal, in the 5-2 victory the following evening against Sioux Falls. Holl is a native of Tonka Bay, Minnesota and has played seven games for the Lancers during his first USHL season.
Green posted consecutive shutouts during the weekend for the Stars. He stopped all 29 shots he faced in the 6-0 victory vs. Fargo on Friday and then made 24 saves the next evening during the 2-0 win vs. Team USA. The 19-year-old is now tied for second among USHL goaltenders with four shutouts this season. Including a relief appearance on Wednesday, Green compiled a 0.46 goals-against-average and a.983 save percentage during the week. The native of Buffalo, New York is playing his first USHL season and has won his last three starts.
