Laredo enters Friday's game two points behind Texas for third place in the Southern Conference and have a game in hand on the Brahmas. Texas is in Mississippi Friday and have Saturday off before hosting Laredo Sunday.
Laredo enters Friday's game in the midst of a three-game winless streak (0-2-1) including having their four-game home winning streak snapped Wednesday night against Corpus (4-1 loss).
The Bucks have struggled on the road as of late as well are a three-game road winless streak (0-2-1). Laredo's last road win came February 20th with a 5-1 win at State Farm Arena.
Laredo has had plenty of success against Rio this season sporting a 10-0-3 mark against them. In the two teams seven-year rivalry the Bucks have never went unbeaten in regulation against the Bees in an entire season. Laredo is 6-0 at State Farm Arena this season and finished with a 4-0-3 mark at the LEC against the Bees.
The Bucks will play their seventh straight and final three-in-three this weekend. In all, from January 29th-March 14th the Bucks will play 22 games in 44 days (10 home, 9 away). They are 11-7-4 in that span.
The Bees have gone on a tear as of late as they enter Friday's game on a four-game winning streak. Rio sits three points back of Corpus for the fifth and final playoff spot in the Southern Conference.
