Reading Fightin Phils News Release

Reading, PA - The Reading Phillies have announced plans to bring back two popular fundraising programs from last season and are pleased to introduce a new Pool Party fundraiser with local groups and non-profit organizations in mind for the upcoming 2010 season.

"Fundraising programs are a great way for fans to make money and have fun at the same time," said Director of Community Relations Matt Hoffmaster. "It's really a great benefit for organizations and it's so easy to do too."

The R-Phils fundraising programs offer local groups and organizations discounted ticket books that can be sold to raise funds for their group. Undated general admission tickets good for any 2010 regular season home game, can be purchased in books of six at a discounted cost of $27 ($48 value), and the organization will receive at least $9.00 from every ticket book sold, as well as some great rewards in the process. For this $9.00 option, the organization does not even need to collect the money, as the R-Phils handle all the implementation and in turn will just cut a check to your organization.

Also, another option for groups is to collect money as they take orders -- which would have the organization make $10.00 for every book sold. With this option, the organization can earn additional money for their fundraising efforts by simply pre-collecting all the money for the ticket books at the time they are sold. Once that is done, the organization can simply turn in the forms along with the money to the R-Phils, who would immediately mail the ticket books out.

Another great fundraising option is the League Night / Organization fundraiser. With this option, your group can select a specific game to attend, a specific seating section -- meaning your entire organization can be seated together at the selected game, and your group is permitted to enter the stadium through a special dedicated League Night Entrance. As part of the program, the participating league has the option of a pre-game parade around the warning track and a first pitch representative, who receives a Reading Phillies team autographed baseball. Other benefits of this option include a $1.00 off coupon at the souvenir stand and the opportunity for the group to make $2.00 from every ticket sold for your league or favorite charity.

New in 2010, the R-Phils Pool Party fundraiser allows any group the chance to enjoy the Reading Eagle Pool Picnic Area and earn $5-$10 per ticket sold at the same time, with two great options to choose from. Any fan who has ever been to FirstEnergy Stadium knows that the Reading Eagle Pool Picnic Area is a great place to enjoy an R-Phils game and fundraising makes it easier than ever to do so.

In option #1, with a chance to earn $10 per ticket, your organization reserves a block of tickets in the Pool Picnic Area and then submits payment to the R-Phils. Your tickets are then mailed immediately upon receiving payment and the R-Phils will return $10 to your organization from every ticket sold for your event. Commission checks for your fundraising event will be mailed the same week of your group outing.

In option #2, each group will have a chance to earn $5 per ticket and all participants who are interested in attending the Pool Picnic outing can call the Reading Phillies directly to place their order - mentioning their non-profit group by name. The R-Phils do all the implementation, and mail out all the tickets. The organization simply promotes the event. The R-Phils will then collect payments from everyone and send you a commission check of $5 per ticket.
