Newark Bears News Release
(Newark, N.J., Feb 22, 2010) - The Newark Bears announced today that they will a job fair at Bears and Eagles Riverfront Stadium on Saturday, March 13. The Bears will be accepting applications and interviewing candidates beginning at 10:00 a.m. for positions during the 2010 season.
"The current economy has made it very tough for the citizens of Newark and all of New Jersey to find work," said General Manager R.C. Reuteman. "We want our fans and the community to be a part of our team this summer by working at the ballpark."
The Bears will be interviewing for the following game day positions: ushers, ticket takers, vendors, merchandise, box office assistants and clubhouse assistants. All applicants must be 16 years of age or older. The job fair will be held until 3:00 p.m., with those in attendance receiving first consideration for employment during the 2010 season.
Interviews will also be held for those wishing to join the team's promotional crew. Newark is looking for an on-field host, music coordinator, public address announcer and other promotional positions. These individuals are the key to providing our fans with great entertainment and an exciting game-day experience when the Bears aren't on the field.
