MOBILE, Ala. - After duking it out at five host sites over the past three days, all 20 teams in the 13th Annual BayBears High School Classic will take the field at Hank Aaron Stadium this weekend, beginning on Friday evening at 4:30.

After going 2-1 in round-robin play, the Baker Hornets will suit up against the McGill-Toolen Yellow Jackets in the Hank Aaron Stadium opener on Friday. McGill also won two out of three, playing on their home turf at Lipscomb Park. Following that contest at 7 p.m., the Foley Lions (2-1) will take on the Mary G. Montgomery Vikings (2-1).

On Saturday, a five-game schedule will pack in the crowds at "The Hank" with Cottage Hill (0-3) looking for their first victory of the season against Davidson (0-3) at 9 a.m. The 11:30 a.m. contest will feature Robertsdale (0-3) battling Thomasville (0-3). At 2 p.m., it'll be Murphy (1-2) who hosted four squads at Mims Park early in the week, facing off with Faith Academy (0-3).

The evening contests on Saturday will contain Gulf Shores (1-2) looking to even their record against Theodore (1-2) at 4:30 p.m. The UMS-Wright Bulldogs (2-1), who narrowly missed out on a perfect record in round-robin action, take on Baldwin County (1-2) at 7 p.m.

Monday's set of three contests will also include the two semifinal match-ups. First, Bryant (2-1) locks up with Spanish Fort (2-1) at 2 p.m. after both teams played strongly in their first three ballgames. The first semifinal at 4:30 p.m. pits a pair of unbeatens as St. Paul's (3-0) squares off against Satsuma (3-0). Two more undefeated squads battle at 7 p.m. on Monday with Fairhope (3-0) looking to score their fourth in a row against Daphne (3-0).

The winners of the two semifinal contests on Monday will meet for the 13th Annual BayBears High School Classic Championship on Tuesday evening at Hank Aaron Stadium in a time that will soon be determined. Following that contest, all of this year's awards will be given to its recipients including the Jake Peavy MVP Award, the Chris Boyett Silver Slugger Award, the Larry Andrews Pitcher Award and the Joe Toomey Founder's Award.

In addition, for the first time, the All-Tournament Team will be named in honor of the late Bill Menton who just recently passed away at age 90. Menton served in the Alabama Senate from 1982-89. He also helped establish Little League Baseball in Mobile during the late 1950s.

Menton, a 1942 graduate of Spring Hill College, also served as Assistant General Manager of the Mobile A's minor league baseball team. He was the "voice" of the original Mobile Bears throughout the 1940s and 50s.

Tickets for all games Friday-Tuesday will be $4 per person.
