Knighthawks To Join Tim Hortons To Support CF Dinner

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Knighthawks players will trade in their lacrosse balls for coffee and donuts from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. on Friday, February 12th at two local Tim Hortons locations. John Grant and Joe Walters will appear at the Webster store (1786 Empire Blvd), while Aaron Bold, broadcaster Craig Rybczynski and dance team members will visit the Greece store on West Ridge Road. The players will be signing autographs and promoting the team's Annual Celebrity Waiter Dinner & Auction, which will take place on Tuesday, March 9th.
"We are proud to work with one of our sponsors, Tim Hortons, to promote our largest fundraising event of the year, the Amerks and Knighthawks Celebrity Waiter Dinner and Auction," said Amerks and Knighthawks President Lewis Staats. "Owner Curt Styres, our coaches, players and staff are committed to raising needed funds to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Rochester and the Knighthawks/Amerks Foundation Inc."
The Knighthawks and Amerks will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the dinner and auction at The Blue Cross Arena. The event, which starts at 6:00 p.m., will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Rochester and the Knighthawks/Amerks Charitable Foundation, Inc. General admission tickets for the event are just $65. The fun-filled event features players trading in their jerseys for tuxedoes and serving guests their food and drinks for tips, with all proceeds benefiting the CF Foundation and the Knighthawks/Amerks Charitable Foundation, Inc. Patrons can bid on great sports memorabilia items from the National Hockey League, American Hockey League, National Lacrosse League and the National Football League. The silent auction also includes animals made by the Amerks and Knighthawks players at the Eastview Mall Build-A-Bear Workshop©, courtesy of J. T. Genier Security Services.

The Knighthawks are back on their home turf on Saturday, February 13th for a 2:05 p.m. contest against the Boston Blazers. The Knighthawks will hold a couples contest, in the spirit of Valentine's Day, with the winners taking home a ski trip for two to Hunt Hollow.
