LOWELL, MASS. - The Spinners are pleased to announce their annual Youth Baseball Camp returns to LeLacheur Park this summer. All participants will receive direct instruction from current Spinners players.

In the past, instructors have included Jonathan Papelbon, Ryan Westmoreland, Justin Masterson and Clay Buchholz.

"This is always one of our most popular events each summer," said Spinners Vice President General Manager Tim Bawmann. "Aspiring young players can learn about the game from Spinners players and coaches in a fun and exciting atmosphere."

Space is limited and the 2009 baseball camp sold out, so interested parents are advised to book early.

The first session of the 2010 Youth Baseball Camp runs from July 12th through 14th and the second starts on August 11th and ends on the 13th. All sessions run from 9 am to 12:30 pm.

Campers will have a chance to learn all aspects of the game from Spinners players with an emphasis on hitting, base running, fielding, throwing, pitching, position work, and more. In addition, the camp will be broken up with stations for Wiffle Ball and Speed Pitch, always two of our most popular stations! This is a terrific opportunity for kids to not only improve at baseball but also play on a professional field.

The camp is open to all 7-14 year old boys and girls (negotiable). Each camper gets three days of professional instruction, four tickets to a Spinners Camp Recognition Day Game, a free lunch each day, Spinners Baseball Camp T-Shirt and a lifetime of memories.

Registration is $200 for one session and $350 for both sessions.

For more information, contact Tim at 978-459-1702.

The Spinners will celebrate their 15th anniversary during the 2010 season as they look to defend their back-to-back Stedler Division Championships. The Spinners have sold every available seat for every home game since August of 1999 and are set to pass 400 consecutive sell-outs during the 2010 season.
